Education is Transformative
Education is the foundation of society; without it, society would crumble. Education is transformative in its ability to inspire others. Knowledge is powerful. When students combine knowledge with experience, they can achieve great success. In my classrooms, students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and share their knowledge with the world. It is a genuinely rewarding experience when students broaden their understanding of a topic or gain a new and different perspective.
Encouraging Purpose
I create a learning environment where students can develop a sense of worth, self-efficacy, and intrinsic motivation to find their path and purpose. I address varied learning styles by applying a mix of assessments, textbooks, videos, real-life examples, open discussions, and other resources to make the class engaging and to encourage critical thinking. It is imperative to let the student know they are supported. In my experience, students who feel supported tend to push the envelope to achieve greatness.
Expectations of Equity
Everyone deserves fair treatment, equity, and respect in the classroom. Instructors should set high expectations for all learners and support their efforts with helpful and timely feedback. One of my primary objectives is for students to apply a principle rather than simply learning it from an academic standpoint.
A Bright Future
Learning is a never-ending process. Through my past experiences and continued growth and learning, I hope to inspire and teach the leaders of tomorrow. As an educator, I love seeing students address challenges and grow throughout the semester. One of my goals is to support, encourage and inspire students in their quest for knowledge. I guide them to see future possibilities they might not see themselves. My motivation is that what students learn in my classroom will directly impact their lives and professional goals.
